VOLUNTARY HOMES (RETURN OF PARTICULARS) REGULATIONS 1949 No 2092

Regulation 1 provides that the particulars in the schedule are to be in accordance with Section 93 of the Children and Young Person Act 1933.

The Schedule requires specific details of the voluntary home and details about the children.  This includes the name and full postal address of the voluntary home (Regulation 1), full name of the person in charge of the home (Regulation 2), full name and address of the organisation or person carrying on the home (Regulation 3), full name and address of the chairman of the organisation (Regulation 5), religious persuasion that is undertaken to bring up persons under the age of eighteen in the home (Regulation 7), staff numbers is specific according to the categories (Regulation 8), the numbers of boys and girls under the age of eighteen according to certain categories (Regulation 9 – 12).  Details of government departments other than the home office who inspect the home (Regulation 14).
