Protection Of Children Act 1978

This Act prevents the exploitation of children by making indecent photographs of them. The Act also penalises the distribution, showing and advertisement of such indecent photographs.
Provisions regarding indecent photographs of children are set out under Section 1. The issue of evidence is provided for under Section 2. Offences by corporations are set out under Section 3.
Other provisions include entry, search and seizure (s. 4), forfeiture (s. 5), punishments (s. 6), interpretation (s. 7) and short title, extent and commencement (s. 9).
