NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICES ACT 1946

Part III sets out provisions relating to health services provided by Local Health Authorities.  Provisions for the care of mothers and young children are given under Section 22.  Further provisions are incorporated including midwifery (s. 23), health visiting (s. 24), home nursing (s. 25), prevention of illness, care and after care (s. 28) and domestic help (s. 29).
