Domestic Violence And Matrimonial Proceedings Act 1976

Section 1 applies to matrimonial injunctions in the county court.  Arrest for breach of injunction is provided for under Section 2.  Section 2 provides that if the judge is satisfied that the other party has caused actual bodily harm to the applicant or the child and that the other party is likely to do so again the judge may attach a power of arrest to the injunction.  Section 4 sets out provisions relating to the order restricting occupation of the matrimonial home.
