Victims of abuse in Northern Ireland demand compensation
The BBC reports that victims of child abuse within the Catholic Church in Ulster have requested that a compensation fund be set up and an inquiry held. Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness said they would meet them, but the victims said that the Executive should be dealing with the issue more urgently.
Also for a lot of people, who are very old and elderly, compensation has to be set up by the state and the Church, acting together in NI as they did in the Republic.
The Republic of Ireland sets up a compensation fund some years ago for victims of abuse both within state agencies and the church.
