Sexual assault cases increase in South London

The South London Press reports an increase in the number of sexual assaults in South London.There is often a great deal of comment on the increase in sex crimes. Is the increase caused by an actual increase in the numbers of assaults, or are victims more prepared to report these crimes to the police? Sadly the prosecution success rates in sex crimes are very low indeed. However the more recent experience of Malcolm Johnson & Co. is that the police are very sympathetic to victims of sex crimes and moreover, they realise that sex offenders will go on to assault others, if no action is taken. In one case handled by the firm, the offender had convictions for the abuse of children dating from the 1940’s right up to 2000.
