Community Carer in court

The BBC reports how a community carer appeared in South Sefton Magistrates Court accused of possession of indecent images and sexual assault on a child.

The three main statutes dealing with possession of indecent images are the Obscene Publications Act 1959, the Protection of Children Act 1978 and the Sexual Offences Act 2003. These were recently amended by the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.
