Catholic priest convicted of sexual abuse

The BBC reports that a Catholic priest has been convicted of sexually abusing three young sisters has been jailed for four years. Father Eugene Lewis was found guilty of 11 charges of assault between 1963 and 1973. He had denied the charges. The abuse had taken place in County Fermanagh. The priest’s victims might have compensation claims although it is likely that these would be subject to the law of Northern Ireland.
