Baby Peter social workers face misconduct charges

The BBC reports that two social workers involved in the Baby Peter case are to be charged with misconduct.

Baby Peter died of abuse in 2008, despite being seen by social services on a number of occasions. His mother and her partner have been sentenced to minimum jail terms of five and 12 years over the death.
