Man convicted of abuse in the Ukraine
A child abuser from Hampshire has been convicted of abusing children in the Ukraine. He was sentenced to an indeterminate sentence, after he admitted travelling to eastern Europee for the purposes of abusing children.
Section 72 to 79 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 deal with offences against children committed outside the United Kingdom. It would interesting to see whether any of this man’s victims took legal action against him, at which point there might be an issue as to whether they could sue him in the United Kingdom or in the Ukraine.
