Paedophile groomed girl, 13, made her drunk and had sex with her

This is Derbyshire reports how a child abuser lured a 13 year old girl into his home, plied her with drink and then had sex with her.

The abuser was given a sentence of six years. He had previously persuaded his victim to perform sexual acts on the internet, using a webcam. Apparently the man had met his victim through another child, whom he had also met on the internet.

This case demonstrates how dangerous the internet can be for children. The Sexual Offences Act 2003, sections 66 to 71 deal with the offence of spying on a child for sexual gratification. 

Inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, is a crime under Sections 9 to 15 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
